Ather Energy Expands Presence in North East, Launches Mizo Warp Club in Aizawl

The North East has emerged as a priority market for Ather, with Mizoram leading the charge in EV adoption. The brand is now looking to replicate this momentum across neighbouring states where the scooter culture is deeply embedded and urban riders are actively exploring premium EV alternatives.

The North East Belt is fast becoming a significant market for premium and performance-driven two-wheelers, with performance scooter penetration in the region exceeding 60% (as per SIAM data). To make EV ownership seamless in Mizoram and the wider North East, Ather plans to install 60 Ather Grids (fast chargers) across the region in the coming months. It is also offering the Eight70 Warranty—an 8-year or 80,000 km battery warranty (whichever comes first) with guaranteed 70% battery health—bundled with all the 450 series variants with Pro pack as well as the Apex 450 for customers in Mizoram and other NE states.

To ease the transition for first-time EV buyers, Ather is also enabling FlexiPay financing model in the region, through third party partner banks and NBFCs. Flexipay is an offering that already has 10 NBFCs on board, offering loans without income proof, flexible tenures, and competitive interest rates.
