Mizoram Govt. declares poll day of Village Council as holiday

Aizawl | January 28, 2025: Government of Mizoram declares poll day of Village Council (February 12) as holiday for Government servants.

In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881, the Governor of Mizoram is pleased to declare the 12th February, 2025 (Wednesday) as Public Holiday for all Government Sen-ants including employees under Central/State Public Undertakings, Educational Institutions and Banking Institutions within Aizawl, Lunglei, Serchhip, Champhai, Mamit, Kolasib, Saitual, Khawzawl and Hnahthial Districts in order to enable the voters to exercise their franchise in the forthcoming General Election to Village Councils, 2025.
