BJP releases list of candidates for Assembly polls in Mizoram

Aizawl, November 2, 2018: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday released a list of a total 36 candidates for the upcoming Mizoram Assembly polls. Mizoram BJP president DR JV Hluna released and declared the list of 36 candidates for the Mizoram MLA election which will be held on November 28. Candidates list for the four constituencies  Hachhek(ST),  Aizawl West III(ST),  Aizawl S-I (ST) and Palak(ST) will be announce in near future.

On press Conference, Dr Hluna stated that, he will file nomination on November 3.

Answering the question, why Chakma candidate is included in the list while all NGO co-ordination committee against it? “Application is received from the candidate, they faced interview and the Central Election Committee of the BJP finalized the list of 25 party candidates.” 

The list of candidates was announced by the party for 2 other poll-bound states — Madhya Pradesh and Telangana following a marathon meeting of the party’s Central Election Committee late on Thursday chaired by BJP chief Amit Shah and attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi among others.

The viral parties, Mizo National Party and Congress party had already announced the complete list of 40 candidates and manifesto.
