FIRE HAZARD IN SILSURI; BSF SAVES LIVES




Aizawl | September 14, 2018:  Fire caught house of a villager in Silsuri, Mizoram on September 14, around 4 PM. A residence of Puran Nath constructed of bamboo, got completely burnt.
However, BSF troops of 90 Bn BSF of BOP Silsuri, on getting the news rushed to the village for help.
They were the first to reach the site. They effectively extinguished the fire, salvaged nearby huts, prevented Fire spreading and averted a major accident. Subsequently, other villagers also joined them in their efforts.
The timely help of BSF troops has reinforced the sense of trust amongst the villagers for the Force.
Earlier also on 11-14 June’ 2018, during flash Flood in Sazak Lui river, the troops of same BOP rescued and shifted the marooned villagers and their belongings to safer places.

Villagers and local authorities have appreciated the efforts of Border Security Force.
