PIB holds media workshop

Aizawl | October 4, 2018: Press Information Bureau organised a Media Workshop on Improving Information Demissemination In Mizoram - Vartalap at Aijal Club, Aizawl on October 4.

The workshop was graced by Aizawl district deputy commissioner Dr A Mathumma as chief guest, Directorate of Information and Public Relation director David L Thangliana as special guest.

In her speech, Chief guest Dr A Mathumma said, "A strong and responsible media can promote a heathy culture in which youth and society are free from drugs and its abuse and HIV. Media has responsible in that, we have to work together to promote a better social life. Media should be the watchdogg of Govt and society."

"Media should take moralistic stand, responsible stand in creating a positive culture and Positive attitude towards health and Society." DC Said.

Speech from PIB Aizawl Asst. Director Shariq Noor IIS and DIPR director David L Thangliana was listened on the occasion.

Different prominent person presented a presentation on different topic. Prominent journalist & Chief editor Mizo Aw presented a paper on 'Role and Impact of Print Media in Mizoram', IIMC Asst proffessor  Dr C Lalmuansangkimi on 'New Media in Mizoram', Mizoram Health Care Society Chief executive officer Dr Biakthansangi on 'Ayushman Bharat -', Addl SP (Crime) PC Lalchunglura on 'Social Media and Security Concern' and Mizoram Journalists' Association general headquarters Aizawl president Zonunsanga Khiangte on 'Present Media Scenario in Mizoram, achievements and expectations'.
