THASIAMA SENO NEIHNA

Thasiama Seno Neihna is a beautiful plateau on a craggy hill at Vaphai village, which is about 86 km from Champhai, Champhai District.

 

According to legends, this plateau was the place where Thasiama's Mithun would give birth to her calf. Considering the height at which this plateau is located, it is practically impossible for a Mithun to go up there even today, but legends say that Thasiama had an affair with a fairy named Chawngtinleri and that this fairy had bestowed a gift to Thasiama that his Mithun would multiply and make him rich and prosperous.

 

This is a natural site which attracts the attention of so many people. This glorious place is situated about 86km from the district headquarter. It is a small plateau like rock-structure that protrudes from the side of a hillock. The top of the hillock can be reached by a long flight of steps. However, it is very difficult to climb the thasiama seno neihna. You can also take experience of trekking at this place. The lush greenery alla round of this place make you happy and fill you with lot of surprise.
