Cleanliness Week

Closing function of Cleanliness Week 2018 was held at AMC Auditorium, Thuampui, Aizawl on October 9. The programme is organised by Aizawl Municipal Corporation. UD & PA director Joseph Lalramsanga graced the function as chief guest. AMC Secretary David Lalrinawma conducted the programme.
Book Released
A book ‘Israel Mizo Identity’ written by the late Zaithanchhungi was released in Govt. Aizawl College Conference Hall, Aizawl on October 9. Margot Crossing released the book.
Candidates
Mizoram Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) is going to declare its candidate for the coming election at Lal Thanhawla Auditorium on October 11. 
Treasury Assembly
Assembly of Mizoram Treasury Accounts Service Association (MTASA) will be held on Thursday.  All employees and staffs of Treasury offices of all the districts will gather in this assembly.
Blood Donation
Young Mizo Assocation (YMA) Thingsulthliah organised a voluntary blood donation camp at YMA Hall, Thingsulthliah on October 8. Around 56 males and five females donated 61 units of blood for blood bank of Aizawl civil hospital.
DGP visits 1st MAP
Mizoram Director General of Police (DGP) Balaji Srivastava visited 1st Battalion Mizoram Armed Police (MAP) parade ground at Aizawl on October 8.  Director General of Police (DGP) Balaji Srivastava is received by 1st battalion Mizoram Armed Police Commandant Dingluaia and staffs.
Teachers Workshop
Five days National workshop on ‘Capacity building programme for teacher education in construction pedagogy’ was held in Aizawl and organised by Institute of Andvanced Stury in Education (IASE). Governor Kummanam Rajasekharan graced the programme as chief guest and inaugurated the workshop on October 8. The workshop will going on till October 12. Teachers of District Institute of Education and Teaching (DIET) and Mizoram University (MZU) are present in the workshop.
HIV/AIDS Awareness
Mizoram State AIDS Control Society (MSACS), Presbyterian Church of India Mizoram Synod Social Front and Presbyterian Church of India Hortoki Pastorate jointly organised a HIV/AIDS Awareness Campaign at Hortoki village of Kolasib district on October 6 – 8. Free clinic was held at Sunday School Hall of Presbyterian Church of India Hortoki on October 8. Around 200 persons attended the screening and clinic.
Brief on MCC
Lawngtlai district Deputy commissioner N Chakhai met a representatives from all policial parties at his office chamber on October 8. Lawngtlai DC explained and brief a Model Code of Conduct on the occasion.
